Learner Spotlight
Faith Mary Khosrowabadi and Grace Elizabeth Khosrowabadi are an amazing pair of sisters with iLEAD Exploration Lancaster.
Grace is a first grader who enjoys gymnastics, swimming, learning how to play the piano, and taking art lessons. She is absolutely intrigued with the human body and would like to be a neurosurgeon when she grows up. Her sister Faith is a seventh grader who is a junior black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is an excellent marksman. She enjoys gymnastics, drawing, singing, acting, and making movies. She would like to be an animator and producer for Disney when she grows up. Both of the girls have won numerous awards for their pastel drawings.
The Khosrowabadi sisters are actively involved with their community. As Junior Miss Lancaster 2015, Faith completed over 400 hours of community service with organizations like Saddle Up Therapeutic riding stables for disabled kids, the Vine Refuge for abused and neglected kids, Penny Lane Foster Center, Grace Resource Center, The Oaks Camp for inner city kids, Koinoila Foster Care, and many more. She also worked with local businesses and dignitaries at public events. Her sister Grace, although not a queen yet, was always there helping and supporting her sister. Then in February 2017 Grace was crowned Little Miss Antelope Valley Regional and Faith was crowned Junior Teen Miss Antelope Valley Regional.
They both represented the Antelope Valley and competed in the 2017/2018 Miss California Regional State Pageant on April 1. Now as California State Queens they look forward to serving not only their local community but also our beautiful state. They currently have plans to support a local deputy sheriff who is battling cancer at the Relay for Life as well as participating in the junior diabetes run/walk for a sister queen who suffers from the disease. They are also busy trying to get sponsors and fund raise for their national pageant they will be competing in this July.
The home study program at iLEAD Lancaster has afforded the Khosrowabadi family the flexibility and opportunity within their busy schedule to be actively involved in serving the Antelope Valley community.
