America’s Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College

IMG_1704

Our families got an up-close look at alligators, tigers, geckos, emus, snakes, lemurs, ocelots and more at America’s Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College. Part of the school’s Exotic Animal Training and Management Program, this five-acre zoo is home and habitat for nearly 200 fascinating exotic animals. The friendly staff of the teaching zoo entertained our families with a holiday show and a guided tour. Our learners enjoyed a quiet, low-key environment while getting a fun and educational look at some of nature’s rarest and most beautiful creatures.
