About Amy
Amy has been in the field of education for as long as she can remember. She started as a teacher’s assistant fresh out of high school and continued working with children while attending college. Amy received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development and a teaching credential and master’s degree in education from LaVerne University.
Amy taught second grade for three years before becoming a mom to two beautiful daughters. She was blessed to be able to stay home with them. As they got older, she slowly worked her way back into the educational atmosphere and began working with independent study families in 2013. She enjoyed independent studying both girls during the middle school years. Her oldest will graduate this year from a charter school, while her youngest attends the local high school. Amy’s favorite part of working with independent study families is connecting with them and guiding them through their educational journey.
Amy enjoys being outside whether it be running, walking or reading, but her favorite thing is just spending time with her husband and kids. They enjoy traveling, camping, and helping others.
