About Nicole
Ever since first grade when from her bedroom she founded the campus of “School after School,” Nicole has loved education. Nicole loves to inspire learning and has experience teaching siblings, friends, independent studyers, at-risk youth and even some stuffed animals! As a proud independent study graduate, her experience in the independent study community has been a huge factor in shaping how she views the importance of treating each learner as an individual. These experiences were invaluable during her years of professional teaching.
Nicole received her degree and teaching credential from the University of Arizona with an emphasis in mathematics. She then taught a variety of ages, grades and ability levels both at a charter school (in Arizona) and in a more traditional public school in the Pasadena and La Canada school districts. Her true professional passion is creating lifelong learners in others as well as her own four children and through the vast means and options available in Los Angeles.
Nicole is originally from Tucson, Arizona, but now lives in Pasadena with her amazing husband and kids. She loves exploring Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles area especially if it has to do with food and being outside. When she is not working, LEADing, attending Girl Scout meetings or teaching kids classes at church, she also enjoys reading and cooking.
