About Madison
Madison Velasco is excited to be a part of the iLEAD team! She looks forward to working with families to support them in their independent studying journey.
Prior to joining iLEAD, Madison graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in child and adolescent development. She worked as an instructional aide for a year in Santa Ana before beginning a multiple subject teacher credentialing program with Cal State TEACH. At the conclusion of the program, Madison was hired to teach first grade on Catalina Island. There she discovered her passion for fostering a love of learning and creating exciting projects for her learners to engage in.
Residing on Catalina Island, Madison enjoys a lot of outdoor activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, camping, and backpacking. She can also often be found reading a book or learning a new hobby such as painting and playing the saxophone.
