We hope you have a wonderful upcoming holiday and a well-deserved break. Here are a few announcements and a list of upcoming dates and deadlines before you sign off for the holidays.

• Concurrent Enrollment Forms: All requests for winter/spring concurrent enrollment must be submitted to your EF by December 16. Forms will NOT be signed over the winter break. The counselors will resume signing and emailing forms on January 10, 2022.
• Yucca Valley Meet and Greet!:  There will be an in-person meet and greet with our high school advisory team on January 13 from 12:30-3:00 at the Yucca Valley Community Center (57090 Twentynine Palms Hwy. Yucca Valley, CA 92284). The Counselors, College Advisor, and High School Coordinator would love to connect with you in person!
• Youth Ambassador: The Youth Ambassador position is open to two juniors who would like to practice public speaking skills and present an Exploration spotlight of our activities at the monthly iLEAD Board of Directors meetings. The commitment is for the spring/fall semesters in 2022.  Youth Ambassador applications are due by January 14, 2022. Email highschool@ileadexploration.org for more info.
• High School Highlights Email List:  If your learner does not receive this newsletter directly and you would like them to, reply to this email with the learner’s email address.
• ASB High School Clubs: These are open to all iLEAD learners and there are no prerequisites for joining. If you are interested in joining a club, please fill out the Join a Club! form and more information will be sent to you.
• College Information Series: Our College Advisor will be presenting on the first and third Friday of each month on the topics below. To RSVP and view additional topics, please see College Information Series.

  • 02/04/22: Holistic Admissions and The University of California
  • 02/18/22: Holistic Admissions and the Importance of Rigor, Honors, AP, and Concurrent Enrollment
• College Applications:  Regular decision applications are open and due.  Check both application and financial aid deadlines and any additional forms needed for each individual college.  Contact Laura Kazan or your counselor before winter break with any questions or your questions will have to wait until January. Complete your FAFSA form as soon as possible.
