What languages do you speak?

I speak English, Spanish, and a little German.

What is the best part of knowing more than one language?

Learning more than one language is very useful for certain jobs and talking to family members.

What is your favorite saying in your native language?

No manches (No way).

What is your favorite subject in school?

Music.

What is a family tradition that you enjoy?

I enjoy going to Big Bear during the summer and winter.

What is your favorite hobby?

I enjoy playing electric and acoustic guitar, the drums, playing video games, watching movies, and boxing.

What advice would you give to someone trying to learn a new language?

Try to stay patient, stay focused, take your time, spend time on it, and know it will take time.

How long have you been in an Independent Study Program?

It’s been about 4 years.

What do you like about independent study?

It’s easier to focus, ask for help, have more opportunities, and study with my family.

What career would you like to have?

I want to pursue a career as a music teacher because I love music with a passion, and I want to give others a chance to discover different and unique types of music.
