What languages do you speak?

Joaquin: Just two, Spanish and English.

Juan Pedro: Two, Spanish and English.

What is the best part about knowing more than one language?

Joaquin: You can talk with other people.

Juan Pedro: You can travel to different continents.

What is your favorite saying in your native language?

Joaquín: Everyone can do their best/ Cada quien puede dar lo mejor que si. (His own sayings)

Juan Pedro: Veloz como erizo. 🦔

 

What is your favorite subject and why?

Joaquín: Math, because it’s fun.

Juan Pedro: Math because it is the easiest.

 

What is a family tradition that you enjoy?

Joaquín: Jesus’ birthday, Christmas.

Juan Pedro: Christmas.

 

What is your favorite hobby?

Joaquín: Video Games, cooking, arts.

Juan Pedro: Video Games and music.

 

What advice would you give to someone trying to learn a new language?

Joaquín:  To find some classes.

Juan Pedro: Reading signposts on the street and asking about their meaning, ask someone who knows the language.

 

How long have you been part of our independent study program?

Joaquín: Like 3 years.

Juan Pedro:  2 years I think.

 

What do you like about independent study?

Joaquín: Because I can see my dad.

Juan Pedro: You have time to be with your mom and dad, and you don’t go to school.

What career would you like to have?
Joaquín: Principal, President.
Juan Pedro: Police officer and scientist.
