Book Club for Grades 6th-8th: Finding Langston

During their reading of Finding Langston, learners will be introduced to The Great Migration, the time in American history where millions of Black Americans moved away from violence and racial strife. This is a time where Black American art found a renaissance in music, art, and, of course, great writing like Langston Hughes. Through the poetry of Langston Hughes, learners will explore literary devices, identity, and what it means to be an American.
