Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert & Floatopia Lab
October 16 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm PDT
Dive into the world of buoyancy as learners design and build a barge that carries cargo. Students will have the creative freedom to choose various materials to construct their vessels. Enhancing their understanding of engineering practices through hands-on exploration. When finished with the lab, learners will be guided by museum staff through an orientation highlighting installations and activities to engage along the way. After orientation there will be a 2 hour self guided tour where you will be provided with a map and rotation cards to ensure exploration of all exhibits. Come and explore with us!
