Exploring the Arts: Acting Academy Musical Theater in Mission Viejo

FROZEN THE MUSICAL: “Do you want to build a snowman” with the Acting Academy for Kids & Teens musical theater team at the Z Playhouse in Mission Viejo?
Learners will be guided through the musical theater process from start to finish. We’ll start our program with icebreakers and team building games followed by auditions and casting. The rehearsal process will include singing, acting, dancing and production content. The session will culminate with two productions for families and friends.
In addition to actors, we need a handful of learners that desire to be a part of our Jr. Director Program. You’ll learn how to cast a show, block scenes, how to stage manage and get involved with the technical components (lighting/sound/visual effects). This is for 5th graders and above. When: Thursdays, Oct 3 – Nov 21; 12pm – 2pm
Two Performances: Thursday, Nov 21; 5:15pm and 8pm. Call time 3pm.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a limited number of spots. Grades will be divided in best workable groupings. A 30 min parent orientation is required at the first meeting and asked to help on rehearsal and show day – including set up, break down, concession sales, applying mics on kids and monitoring the kids during their dinner break.
