Online Scribblers: Poetry – Session 1 (Grades 4-7)
June 17 - June 28
Learners in grades 4-7 are invited to join vendor, Online Scribblers, for a fully asynchronous online class focused on writing poetry. During this two week class learners will:
- Receive personal/individual feedback provided on every poem submitted
- Have the opportunity to revise all poems each week
- Have poems combined into an e-book and the link to the publication shared with parents and iLEAD
school only - Have the option of providing artwork to accompany their poems
Week 1:
- Couplets – Rhyming and rhythm lessons
- Acrostic – Focus on formatting and attention to detail
Week 2:
- Haiku – Counting syllables lessons
- Diamante – Focus on parts of speech and formatting
Session Dates:
- Session 1: June 17-28th
- Session 2: July 8-19th
- Session 3: July 22- Aug 2nd
- Session 4: Aug. 5-16th
