Orange County Zoo – Docent Tour for Gifted Learners

Curious about whether porcupines can shoot their quills, which animals are immune to rattlesnake venom, or if all owls hunt exclusively at night? Join us for an engaging guided tour, with a docent, of the OC Zoo, tailored for gifted learners! Delve into the fascinating world of animal adaptations in the western hemisphere as we observe and discuss creatures such as mountain lions, jaguars, black bears, eagles, coyotes, opossums, owls, rattlesnakes, turkey vultures, and more. Get ready for an up-close encounter with some of our animal ambassadors!
- RSVP learner ticket is for iLEAD Exploration hybrid current and returning learners only K-3 grade
- ADA compliant
- Adult/sibling (no babies or younger siblings) tickets are available for individual purchase at the entrance
- 1 Adult is required for learner(s) to participate, and must purchase a ticket at the door
- Details for this event will be emailed a few days prior
- Parking fees are not included
- This is not a drop-off event. Parents must stay with learners of any age.
