Allison Smith
Lead Educational Facilitator
About Allison
Allison Smith is thrilled to work for iLEAD Exploration as a lead educational facilitator. She loves that she gets to interact with wonderful parents and children and help support their independent studying journey.
Allison received a bachelor’s degree and credential from California State University Long Beach. She then went on to teach in Inglewood Unified School District and Buena Park School District. Allison loves teaching because she is passionate about children getting the education and attention they individually need in order to excel and grow to reach their highest potential.
In 2004, she was blessed to have her first child and was so thrilled to be able to stay home with her. As her daughter grew, and then later as her son was born, she began her own independent studying journey. She feels privileged to be able to educate her own children and lead them on the path of lifelong learning. She loves that every day is an opportunity to help them develop their unique abilities and passions. Due to her prior classroom teaching experience as well as her many years of independent studying, Allison had a desire to connect and collaborate with other independent studying families. Working as an educational facilitator at iLEAD has been a great way to apply that passion.
