About Amanda
Dr. Amanda Buchheit is the speech and language and assistive technology coordinator for iLEAD Exploration. She has been a speech language pathologist for nearly 15 years. She graduated with her master’s degree from California State University Fullerton and later obtained her assistive technology specialist certificate from California State Dominguez Hills. In 2017, she completed her doctoral degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in speech language pathology. Her research focused on a multi-disciplinary approach to speech and language therapy within the school district setting for young learners. She has worked in a variety of settings supporting the communication development of children and adults including the traditional school district, charter schools, private practice, home health, skilled nursing centers, and hospice care. Some of her main responsibilities as coordinator include conducting speech and language assessments, assistive technology assessments, coordinating student services, and participating in IEP meetings. She is excited to be working with staff, families, and learners this school year!
