About Brenda

Brenda Garza was born and raised in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California. Her educational journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a minor in Sociology, followed by a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Pepperdine University, where she graduated in 2006. Upon completing her studies, Brenda embarked on her teaching career at a [then] new charter high school in Lennox, CA, where she dedicated nearly 20 years to fostering a love for learning and building enduring relationships with students and their families.

Outside the classroom, Brenda is a passionate beachgoer, often found enjoying the sun and surf with her daughter, who will be entering the 8th grade this year. She has a deep appreciation for tropical islands and beachy countries in Central America, and she loves to immerse herself in novels set in Nantucket or summer romances. Brenda also enjoys meeting friends for brunch by the beach and relaxing poolside.

Brenda is thrilled to join the iLEAD Exploration team, drawn to its emphasis on personalized learning and the freedom it offers. She looks forward to supporting families as they navigate their unique educational paths and is eager to build new connections with students and their families. Brenda’s enthusiasm for fostering personalized learning experiences aligns perfectly with her commitment to nurturing meaningful educational relationships.
