About Chelsea
Chelsea is a southern California native who has worked in education in multiple capacities. She first began her career in education as a child development counselor in after and before school programs. She earned her high school diploma through an independent study program so she could dedicate more time to music (piano and guitar) and understands the rewards and challenges of these unique programs. While she pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and later gained her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge, she worked as a preschool teacher and substitute teacher. She began teaching in 2018 as an elementary school teacher in Santa Clarita and has worked in both public and charter schools.
When she isn’t teaching, she loves to spend time with her husband, her fur babies, and her family. Reading, hiking and exploring nature, and attending concerts and performances are some of her favorite pastimes and activities.
Chelsea is passionate about engaging students in their own learning and is excited to be on the iLead Exploration team to support learners and families in their educational journeys.
