About Dominique Arrigo
The love of learning started early for Dominique and her experiences in school fostered her curiosity for education. She believes teaching is a privilege, and school is a special environment where students not only learn the fundamentals, they hone their social skills, and discover who they are. If I have the chance to open students` minds to new ways of thinking and problem-solving strategies, to foster their creativity and encourage independent thought; then I’ve helped to lay the foundation for a successful life.
Born in New York and raised in London and Spain, Dominique moved with her family to Southern California to attend High School. She received her teaching credential from CalState TEACH after her children were born and knew she wanted to work with independent study families after independent studying her children during the pandemic years. Dominique aspires to reach students in ways big and small that will resonate beyond the classroom walls.
Dominique lives in Pasadena with her husband Joe and two daughters Sienna and Anika. In her free time she loves to cook elaborate meals, read music biographies, run with her dogs and travel.
