About Erin

Coming from a family of educators, Erin was given many opportunities to be involved in the educational community. As a young girl, she would spend summers in her mother’s deaf and hard of hearing classrooms signing away. It was a natural fit and eventually developed into a passion for learning and educating.

Upon graduating from California State University, Fullerton, she worked in the advertising industry as a media planner. After five years, she had the opportunity to go back to school to earn her teaching credential from California State University, Long Beach and never looked back. She had the privilege of teaching kindergarten and volunteered as a high school cheerleading coach for several years before starting her own family.

Erin is excited to be a part of the iLEAD team and is both honored and humbled to work with the incredible families that choose to participate in the independent studying process. The experience of being a mother gives her an invaluable perspective on education and the idea that acquiring knowledge is not confined to the walls of a classroom.

In her free time, Erin is doing her best to raise three confident, kind-hearted, independent children. She loves to craft and is always on the lookout for her next DIY project.
