Felicite Badillo
Lead Educational Facilitator
About Felicite
Felicite Badillo has been fortunate enough to live, teach, and independent study in a variety of places including Oregon, Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, Arizona, Florida, and now sunny southern California. After earning her bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an endorsement in English from Western Oregon University, Felicite taught middle school language arts and history in the classroom for five years. She was the teacher who practically lived at the school because she loved her job so much!
She became a independent study mom when her oldest child was in the first grade and currently independent studys her three children. As a independent studying mom, Felicite has dug up an ant hill (and gotten bit!) to observe what happens inside, found and identified various types of shells on the beach, fed a stingray, allowed her son to have a pet snail, read aloud many, many historical fiction novels, made soap, and dissected a flower…all in the name of education. Being an educational facilitator with iLEAD Exploration is really exciting for Felicite because she is passionate about educating children in the ways they learn best and helping parents not feel alone in this wonderfully wild world of independent studying.
In her spare time, she enjoys running in the early morning hours, reading, being at the beach, traveling, going on family hikes, and spending quality time with her husband and three children.
