About Jennie
Jennie comes from a long line of teachers on both sides of her family so it was no surprise when she would bring extra worksheets home from school to teach the neighborhood kids on the weekends and during the summer. She knew at a very young age she wanted to be a teacher. She earned her bachelor of arts degree, teaching credential, and master’s in education from from Biola University in 2000. She then went on to teach upper elementary school (fifth and sixth grade) for eight years in both public and private school in Orange County. When Jennie’s first child was born, she left the classroom to be a full time mom.
Jennie believes every child’s educational path looks different and loves how ‘school’ has changed over the years to provide many different opportunities to allow every child to be successful in their journey. Jennie loves being an educational facilitator with iLEAD because it is an opportunity to be involved in education and provide support to other moms as they educate their children. Jennie loves running, crafting, being team mom for her kids’ sports teams, hosting parties, and watching and playing sports.
