About Julie

Julie was born and raised in Santa Clarita, CA. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from San Diego State University, she returned to her hometown to teach math at her alma mater, Canyon High School. After 10 years in the classroom, Julie began working with independent study families to spend time with her young children. She loves making connections with families and watching learners grow, both socially and academically.
In her free time, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, Taylor and Jake. She loves the outdoors, especially camping at the beach or mountains. Reading and traveling are also some of her favorite hobbies.
