About Lisa
Lisa grew up in New York City and began her teaching career there. She has lived and worked in LA for 11 years and loves both the Dodgers and the New York Mets. She has taught students in grades 5 through 10 at several schools. She has also worked as a parent educator, teacher coach, and assistant principal. She has an undergraduate degree from Cornell University, a master’s degree in teaching from Pace University, and a master’s in educational leadership from CSU Northridge.
Lisa loves collaborating with families and students to create learning experiences that are individual, rigorous, and exciting. Her favorite quote is “Never limit yourself because of others’ limited imagination; never limit others because of your own limited imagination” by Dr. Mae Jamison because she loves learning, imagination, and problem-solving.
Lisa enjoys reading and board games but spends most of her free time with her daughters, who love space, dinosaurs, and camping!
