About Lisa

After attending Point Loma Nazarene University for undergraduate studies in English and receiving a teaching credential through Cal State Dominguez Hills, Lisa taught ninth and 10th grade English and coached the academic decathlon team at Torrance High School.

In addition to teaching in public school, Lisa reflects fondly upon her ten years of independent studying her three children. independent studying allowed for unique learning opportunities, wonderful park days with friends, and a healthy amount of family chaos. She wouldn’t trade it for anything! Her experiences fuel her desire to help families discover the wonderful resources available to independent studyers today.
