About Melissa

Melissa Plunkett started working in education as a teaching aide in 2019 working with high school students for almost three years. Because she enjoyed her experiences working in education so much she went on to pursue a CTE credential for Arts, Media, and Entertainment, and later pursued a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University where she also received her credential in May 2023.

Currently, Melissa is serving as an Educational Facilitator for the iLEAD Exploration. This experience is special to her because after the pandemic Melissa decided to continue homeschooling her middle son; she is excited to share all her experience has to offer, while also learning about her families and being inspired by their experiences.

Melissa has a husband, three sons, three dogs, two horses, and too many chickens in her loving home. In her free time you can find her reading, spending time with her animals, practicing jiu jitsu, exercising, hiking, crocheting, and learning something new–because there is always something to learn.
