About Nicole

Nicole taught middle school math for 8 years in Placentia Yorba Linda USD before leaving the classroom to be a stay-at-home mom to an only daughter. Nicole went to school in Bellflower Unified School District and then went to UC Irvine to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics for High School Teaching. After that, she moved on to CSU Fullerton where she earned her teaching credential. With a few years of teaching under her belt, Nicole earned her Masters in Education at Concordia University Irvine.

Nicole is so excited to be working with iLEAD Exploration this year! This is a new experience for her but she has had experience teaching in the classroom, being a independent study mom, teaching math as a independent study vendor, and observing different families throughout their varied independent study journeys.

In her free time, Nicole enjoys reading YA fiction (especially with her book club), sewing all the things (including her daughter’s Daisy Girl Scout patches), and spending time with her family and friends.
