About Sara

Sara Ramirez earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA and a multiple subject teaching credential from California State University, Northridge. She taught middle school for five years in the Burbank Unified School District, working alongside some veteran teachers who had been her teachers as a child growing up in Burbank. There she gained experience teaching math, science, social studies, English, and elective classes. She also taught an after school reading program for struggling readers.

The next phase of her life began when she chose to stay home with her three children and eventually began independent studying. Sara is very excited to now be able to combine her experience teaching with her love of independent studying to assist families on their educational journeys. She loves learning about new curriculum and innovative ways families are learning together. Her favorite part of her job is building relationships with families and helping them find what works best for their individual needs.

In her free time, Sara enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She also enjoys planning trips and dreams of one day traveling the world.
