About Tricia

Growing up in a home where both parents were career educators, teaching and learning were not simply a profession, but a lifestyle. Tricia was fortunate to attend the schools where her mother and father taught, and she came to realize how truly special it was to have teaching fully integrated with home life, and a passion to share that experience with other learners began to take root.

Tricia continued her education at Pepperdine University, earning a bachelor’s degree in business management, where she also incorporated her love for travel with three international programs in London and Paris. Post-graduation, she worked for Boston Consulting Group in downtown Los Angeles, while simultaneously following her love of learning by earning a multiple subject teaching credential through Chapman University.

After completing her credential, Tricia continued into unique professional teaching experiences in public, private and independent studying forums. This learning path provided valuable perspective on the education system in American society today, and one key insight was experiencing how effective the independent study program can be for a child’s education. Tricia absolutely loves her job and is excited to engage with learners and support families in their independent studying endeavors!

Supporting Tricia at home are three very active and wonderful kids and an awesome husband, Lee. Her family loves to travel, take hikes, cook, laugh, and make the most of life together.
