Learner Spotlight: Mariah Cruz
iLEAD Exploration learner Mariah Cruz (11th grade) has made a comeback in the last innings of the epic game of high school.
Mariah enrolled in iLEAD Exploration last summer and because she had fallen behind in her courses, she worried that she wouldn’t graduate on time. Instead of striking out, Mariah has hit a home run! Through her own hard work and with the help of her supportive family, she has caught up on her classes. Not only did she take multiple rigorous summer courses and a full class load in the fall, she even enrolled in community college.
Now she is set to graduate on time and is looking forward to applying to colleges that have a strong softball program. She is an example to her homeschool siblings that focus, courage, desire, and a winning attitude can turn the game around.
