According to History.com, Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society, and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987. This year’s theme for Women’s History Month is Providing Healing, Promoting Hope. The theme recognizes the honorable efforts of caregivers and frontline workers during this pandemic and throughout history. We will be exploring influential women this month, but to start us off please take a look at these virtual activities to learn more. You may also want to explore the women’s history unit on BrainPOP to see how women have helped shape our world.
