Earthroots Field School – Earthroots Homeschool Field Classes – Classes meet for 5 hours once a week in nature, at various locations throughout Orange County. Experiences may include: hiking to a natural hot springs to study geology, tidepooling along the coast to study ecology, fishing, tracking animals, learning about watershed health and the water cycle, rainwater harvesting, native plant identification, plant uses for making tools and shelter, growing food organically, and cooking in the sun oven or over the fire. Rhythm of the day will include morning circle, snack, exploration, lunch, journaling, quiet sit and closing circle. Our homeschool participants gain confidence in nature and the emotional and social intelligence to care for our earth.
