Alyssa Gonzalez
Alyssa is one of my Biology SET students. This was the final project. Alyssa's was the best!!! The learners were to select one of the main topics covered during the semester and construct a children's book that explained all the major concepts of the topic in a way that would be understandable for a child. Alyssa's was fantastic!!!
Bailey K.
Bailey read Jane Austen's Persuasion and wrote an essay describing her favorite character. Bailey was able to write her essay using a tone that describes her enthusiasm for the character while keeping the drama and essence of the character in tact. Bailey used transition words appropriately and accurately referenced the text in her essay.
Chloe N.
Chloe is an avid skateboarder! She was learning about the 8th grade science standard - Motion and Stability: Forces and Interactions and created this amazing "Physics of an Ollie" display including photos of herself doing an ollie!
Cody K.

Kesley made predictions about what would happen to candy corn when it is placed in hot water, vinegar, and her mouth. She then placed candy corn in each and discovered whether her predictions were correct. She then recorded her results. She said that it disappeared the quickest in her mouth. The hot water came in second and it took the longest in the vinegar.
Madelyn Nixon
Madelyn is a sixth grader that participated in the Hidden Figures Book Club. She was asked to think about figures in her own life that might be "hidden" like the women of the book. Madelyn chose to write about her grandparents in the FBI. She demonstrated that she understood the assignment and made the connection that was being asked. She wrote a wonderful, sound essay about her grandparents that demonstrated not only comprehension but also gratitude.

Hendrix P.
Our school project for social studies was to have a lemonade stand but we don’t live in a neighborhood where we can do that. We had already created an Instagram for @hendrix.rocks because Hendrix likes to make a little money on his crystals sometimes. We usually make a video or post the crystals that are for sale in his stories. But this time we did a live sale! He priced everything a couple days before, almost sold out during the sale then wrapped everything with thank you cards a couple days after to send out.
Jordan A.
Jordan created a structure with marshmallows and toothpicks that needed to pass an earthquake simulation test. His did pass!
