NaNoWriMo = National Novel Writing Month!

drawings on notebook

According to NaNoWriMo’s website, National Novel Writing Month began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel in thirty days. Now, each year on November 1, hundreds of thousands of people around the world begin to write, determined to end the month with a first draft. They enter the month as students, elementary school teachers, mechanics, or stay-at-home parents. They leave as novelists.

Join their writing community to participate in the November writing challenge or set your own writing deadlines. Ask your EF how you can add this to your ILP/AWR.

Middle school learners are invited to join the Current Events Club, where they will have the opportunity to participate in the novel writing challenge.
