High School Hangout: National Hot Rod Association Winternationals Race at the In-N-Out Pomona Drag Strip
Date: March 22, 2024
Time: 10:00 – 1:00
Join us at the NHRA Youth & Education Services Program (YES) for a High School Hangout! This is a FREE event that focuses on the importance of goals and continued education; additionally, it allows learners to explore various career opportunities in the STEM field. We will be attending the YES Program Presentation at the NHRA Motorsports Museum. The program lasts approximately 90 minutes. When you sign up for the presentation on their website, it comes with a free ticket to watch Championship Drag Racing and walk through the pits! Following the presentation, a free shuttle will take us to the race. Register here.
National Honor Society
On January 23, our iLEAD National Honor Society members fulfilled their volunteer hours by helping at the Community Action Partnership of OC Food Bank. They worked on assembly lines packing a variety of food items into boxes. This organization serves approximately 25,500 low-income seniors monthly, and the boxes will eventually be distributed to over 70 sites all throughout Orange County and surrounding areas. Much fun was had by all at this high-energy and fast-paced event.
ASB Escape Room
On January 19, ASB hosted our first iLEAD Escape Room event at the OC Learning Studio. Learners worked in teams to beat the clock and escape!
