Labor Day, celebrated on the first Monday of September, is a holiday that honors the contributions and achievements of workers across the United States. It began in the late 19th century during the labor movement. This was a time when workers were fighting for better working conditions, fair wages, and reasonable hours. As we celebrate Labor Day, we recognize the importance of labor rights and the impact of workers in every field, reminding us to appreciate the effort and dedication that goes into every job.

We encourage families to explore different activities to help learn more about the day. Here are some ideas from our complimentary subscription, BrainPOP.
