SLOgan of the Month – Self-Control
Last week we introduced our Schoolwide Learner Outcome for January: self-control. Below are a few activities you can use to learn more. Have fun with it and discuss it with your Educational Facilitator!
Additional Activities:
- Watch this video on self-control and discuss some of the self-regulation strategies you learned.
- Play Red Light Green Light, Freeze Dance, or Simon Says.
- Watch this video on why we lose control of our emotions. Then write about a time you “flipped your lid” and then think of things that you could have done differently.
- Practice not using technology or setting limits and talk about how it feels.
Don’t forget to complete your badges as well!
You can learn more about self-control at our webinar on January 19th. For more information and to register, go to the hub.
